 ETHNO-RELIGIOSITY OF THE POPULATION OF THE TRANSCARPATHIAN REGION AS A FACTOR IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM

 Purpose. The purpose of the article is to consider the ethnic and religious characteristics of the population of the Transcarpathian region from the standpoint of use in the development of tourism.

Methods. The methodological principles of the research consist in synthesis and analysis of statistical materials concerning ethnic and religious characteristics of the population of the region with the further use in the development of tourism. In this case, the methods of analysis and description have been used.

Results. It has been determined that the population of the region is extremely diverse in its national composition, which determines its polyconfessional character. Ethnology, together with religion, forms ethno-religiosity, which is an important factor in the development of the tourism industry in the region.

Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty consists in substantiating the concept of ethno-religiosity and its application in the formation of the ethno-religious space of the region, taking into account the peculiarities of the development of the tourism industry.

The practical significance. The practical significance of the study involves taking into account ethno-religiousity of the territory in the development of the tourism industry, in particular religious tourism.
